Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only)
  • TNCC certification required
  • Proficient in EPIC charting system
  • Mandatory attendance for all orientation days

ER RN Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to trauma and behavioral health patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals for comprehensive patient care
  • Utilize EPIC charting for accurate documentation
  • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
  • Participate in a supportive, team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
