ER RN Job Details – Hyannis, MA

• Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts (02601) – Cape Cod
• Position Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Division: Emergency Room Nursing
• Start Date: February 2, 2026
• End Date: May 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, every other weekend/holiday
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,891 - $2,970

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (required)
• Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
• Proficient in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
• Strong communication skills in English
• TNCC, ENPC, PALS certifications preferred
• De-escalation certification course completion preferred

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the Emergency Room
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel
• Maintain accurate and current patient records and documentation
• Document patient assessments, including physical, psychological, social, and discharge planning
• Coordinate plan of care with allied healthcare providers
• Demonstrate proficiency as charge nurse when required
• Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems
• Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education
• Participate in staff meetings, mandatory programs, and professional development
• Follow safety and blood/body fluid policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and represent the hospital positively
• Deliver service excellence to patients, families, visitors, and co-workers
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
