Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Experience: Operating Room (OR) RN experience — perioperative/circulator experience preferred
• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oregon or compact, as applicable)
• Knowledge of perioperative standards, sterile technique, and OR policies/procedures
• Ability to float to other departments where qualified, as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills — ideal for surgical nurse and perioperative nurse roles

Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Circulate for surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, sterility, and efficient OR workflow
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary surgical services team
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Document care accurately and comply with clinical standards and departmental protocols
• Support and supervise assigned personnel as appropriate to the role
• Float to other units as needed based on qualifications
