- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Labor and Delivery Nurse
- Location: Oxford, NC 27565 (Granville County) — travel nursing opportunity in North Carolina
- Assignment Type: Travel, On-Site (travel nursing)
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- End Date: June 22, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1770
- Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Number of Openings: 2
- EMR: MEDITECH (experience helpful; training available)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (must be active at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery or Obstetric nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), maternal/fetal assessment, and postpartum care preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to provide 2 supervisory references
- Copy of required certifications per facility/unit standards (BLS required; NRP and perinatal certifications preferred)
- Requested Time Off (RTO) should be kept to a minimum and submitted up front for approval
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments, including continuous and intermittent electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Assist with deliveries, support vaginal and cesarean births as needed, and coordinate care with anesthesia and neonatal teams
- Manage postpartum care, newborn assessment, and initial stabilization in collaboration with interdisciplinary staff
- Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, breastfeeding, and postpartum expectations
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the MEDITECH EMR system
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment consistent with hospital policies and infection prevention standards
