Job Details
- Position: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (Telemetry RN, Travel Nurse)
- Location: Northampton, MA 01060 (Pioneer Valley / Western Massachusetts)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 12, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract – Travel nurse opportunity
- Unit: Telemetry / Cardiac Telemetry
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 – $2010
- Local Pay Rate: $80.75/hr
- Openings: 4 Telemetry RN positions available
Job Requirements (Telemetry RN / Travel Nurse)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts or compact state) — must be eligible to work in MA
- Recent Telemetry or acute care nursing experience preferred (cardiac telemetry experience preferred)
- Telemetry I certification preferred; cardiac rhythm/dysrhythmia competency required
- Ability to complete standard onboarding: background check, health screenings, skills checklist, dysrhythmia exam, etc.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
- Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
Responsibilities (Telemetry Nursing / Cardiac Care)
- Provide direct bedside care to patients with critical or life?threatening cardiac conditions on a telemetry unit
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status (telemetry monitoring)
- Administer prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry?approved drips, following policy and safety protocols
- Recognize and rapidly respond to acute changes, including shock and other life?threatening events
- Assist with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions as needed
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate and communicate effectively with patients and families, adapting to diverse intellectual and physical needs
