Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience as a Med/Surg RN or Travel RN
• Must have titers in hand at time of submission
• Ability to float to other Med/Surg units as needed (flexible clinical skill set)
• Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Perform ongoing clinical assessment, monitoring, and documentation in MEDHOST (electronic charting)
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, discharge instructions, and recovery
• Float to other Med/Surg units as required and adapt to varied patient acuity
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
