PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

  • Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse (Float Pool)
  • Location: Laconia, New Hampshire 03246
  • Start Date: February 23, 2026
  • Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
  • Shift: 12-hour day, night, or rotating shifts
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Employment Type: Travel RN (W2 healthcare job)

PCU RN Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse experience (travel nurse experience preferred)
  • Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Skills checklist matching PCU/Stepdown specialty
  • NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (Relias) with 80% or higher
  • Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and Behavioral Health Annex units (training provided)
  • Resume must document travel nursing experience and relevant clinical skills

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to PCU/Stepdown patients
  • Float to Medical-Surgical units and Behavioral Health Annex as needed
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
