Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience; IR, radiology, or critical care experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Current New Hampshire RN license or ability to obtain (compact license accepted where applicable)
- ACLS certification required
- Experience with sedation monitoring, vascular access support, and procedural nursing in imaging environments
- Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to respond to urgent/emergent situations
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
- Prepare patients for procedures, assist the IR team, and monitor patients receiving moderate/conscious sedation
- Continuously assess vital signs and patient response; respond quickly to contrast reactions and procedure-related complications
- Support vascular access procedures and post-procedure recovery and education
- Collaborate closely with interventional radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to infection prevention protocols, and follow radiology department standards
