• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (Albany healthcare / New York nursing job)
• Unit: Neurology Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Neuro Stepdown / Progressive Care
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 2/23/2026 – End: 4/3/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2130 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Quick Qualifications (PCU RN — Neurology)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• Minimum 1 year experience in Neuro-Progressive, Stepdown, or ICU nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to pass a Neuro-Progressive competency exam upon offer

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Current New York RN license (required)
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in neurology, neuro stepdown, progressive care, or ICU acute care nursing
• Proficiency with Epic EMR for documentation and order management
• Strong neurological assessment skills and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Unit dress code: navy blue scrubs required

Responsibilities (Progressive Care / Neurology RN)

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Neurology Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and monitor for changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to clinical changes and escalate care according to hospital protocols
• Support unit operations and float to other hospital units when required
