Job Details – Travel Nursing Assignment

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel RN
• Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201 (Berkshires) – Massachusetts travel nursing job
• Setting: On-site inpatient Medical-Surgical unit (20–34 beds)
• Contract Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) – 12-hr day shifts; Shift Duration: 12 Hour Days
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090–$2,200 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:6
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend; holidays as needed
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs (any color)
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)
• On-Call: None

Med/Surg Travel RN Requirements

• Minimum 2 years current Medical-Surgical RN experience (required) – Med/Surg RN experience preferred for travel nursing roles
• Telemetry experience required (Telemetry RN skills)
• Willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit as needed (required)
• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course (strongly required)
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred (electronic charting experience)
• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile) – Massachusetts travel nursing license required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required at submission
• Reliable personal vehicle for assignment
• Permanent address must be >50 miles from facility (required)
• Work history and Med/Surg skills checklist (within 1 year) required
• 1 supervisory signed reference (within past 2 years) required
• Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) must be uploaded with submission
• At least two specific interview date/time options required ("anytime" not accepted)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted up front (maximum 5 days)

Primary Responsibilities – Med/Surg & Telemetry

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a busy inpatient Med/Surg unit (travel nursing responsibilities)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; escalate changes as appropriate (Telemetry RN duties)
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document clearly in the EMR
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for care planning
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed to support staffing
• Educate patients and families to promote safety and positive outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and professional standards
