Travel RN Job Details – Akron, Ohio

Location: Akron, Ohio (Zip: 44304) – Ohio nursing jobs
Unit: 5 North (5N) AAU – Med/Surg/Telemetry overflow (13 beds)
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
Start Date: February 15, 2026
End Date: April 18, 2026
Duration: 9 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6, based on acuity

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Nursys verification required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
Recent EPIC and phlebotomy experience (within last 12 months)
Charge RN experience required
Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
Maximum 7 days requested time off (RTO); block scheduling not permitted

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for patient safety
Perform phlebotomy and document care using EPIC EMR
Serve as Charge RN, providing leadership and clinical support to the healthcare team
Float to other units as required by census and staffing needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
