- Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing
- Location: Rutland, Vermont (Rutland, VT 05701) — Vermont nursing jobs, Rutland healthcare
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Local Only) — local travel nurse / LPN travel contract
- Start Date: February 2, 2026
- End Date: April 27, 2026
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Shift: 8-hour Nights (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) — Night Shift LPN / LTC nurse
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,250 – $1,310
- Weekend Commitment: Every weekend required
- Transportation: Must have own transportation
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Vermont or eligibility via multistate compact (Vermont LPN license preferred)
- Experience with medication administration, resident assessments, documentation (EMR/charting), and ADL support
- Ability to work night shifts and every weekend as scheduled (Night Shift LPN, LTC nurse)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and resident-centered care skills
- Reliable transportation required
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accurately in the EMR
- Perform routine assessments, monitor residents’ health status, and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote dignity and independence
- Collaborate with nursing staff, nursing assistants, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care planning
- Maintain accurate clinical records, follow facility policies, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Support a positive resident experience and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
