• Setting/Unit: Inpatient Orthopedics – Ortho/5W
• Start Date: 03/02/2026
• End Date: 05/31/2026
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment
• Pay Rate: $68.00/hour (local)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every third weekend / every other holiday
• Openings: 1

Orthopedic RN Job Requirements

• Experience: RN experience in orthopedics and/or Med/Surg/Telemetry is helpful
• License: Active RN license (per facility/state requirements)
• Clinical Skills: Post-op assessments, pain management, mobility support, wound care, and patient/family education
• Documentation: Strong, timely EMR documentation and clear handoff communication
• Onboarding/Compliance: Ability to complete standard pre-employment and onboarding requirements (license verification, background check, and competency validation)

Key Responsibilities (Inpatient Orthopedics)

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to orthopedic and post-surgical patients on an inpatient unit
• Perform focused assessments, monitor vital signs as ordered, and escalate changes in condition appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments, support pain control plans, and reinforce mobility/rehab goals
• Coordinate care with providers, PT/OT, case management, and the interdisciplinary team to support recovery and discharge planning
• Provide patient and family education on post-op precautions, wound care, fall prevention, and follow-up needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and infection prevention practices
