Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Facility Type: Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:00 am – 3:00 pm)

Qualifications for Surgical Technologist (CVOR)

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in a hospital operating room, preferably in a large teaching hospital
• At least 2 prior travel assignments in facilities with 500+ beds
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Proven experience with DaVinci Robotics (Xi and Si) and trauma cases
• Ability to float to different surgical specialty pods as needed

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures, including circulating and scrubbing duties
• Demonstrate advanced skills in trauma and robotic surgical cases
• Maintain a sterile field and prioritize patient safety during all surgical procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
• Participate in on-call rotations as required by the CVOR unit
• Adapt to various specialty pods and provide clinical support to the surgical team as needed
