Location: 75 Francis St, Boston, MA 02115 — Boston medical district (Boston healthcare, Massachusetts nursing jobs)
Assignment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse
Start Date: April 6, 2026
End Date: July 4, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shifts: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), straight nights, every other weekend required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts RN license or compact state license as applicable)
At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
Submission of resume, references, and completed skills checklist
Successful completion of background screening and onboarding health documentation (MMR, Influenza, TB, Health Statement, etc.)
Preferred: current BLS and fetal monitoring competency / EFM training (if available)

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to laboring patients and their families in a busy L&D unit
Monitor maternal and fetal status; interpret fetal heart tracings and respond promptly to changes (electronic fetal monitoring/EFM)
Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered; manage labor analgesia per unit protocol
Assist with vaginal deliveries, operative procedures, and emergent obstetric situations
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, safe care
Provide patient and family education and emotional support throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner using the unit's clinical systems
