• Schedule: Monday through Friday, Day Shift (7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
• Floating: May be required to float between hospital campuses as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,470 – $1,580

Pathology Assistant Qualifications

• PA (ASCP) certification required
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pathology Assistant in a hospital or clinical laboratory
• Proficiency in grossing all specimen types and clinical laboratory procedures
• Ability to adapt and float between hospital campuses as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a healthcare environment

Pathology Assistant Responsibilities

• Grossing a wide variety of specimen types in the hospital laboratory
• Collaborating with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely specimen processing
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance in all clinical laboratory procedures
• Supporting the pathology team by assisting with workflow and adapting to changing needs across hospital campuses
• Contributing to a positive and efficient healthcare work environment
