• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (start time between 6AM and 10AM; flexible as long as consistent and communicated)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: None
• Weekend Requirement: No weekends unless a holiday falls within M-F (make-up hours allowed on weekends)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990–$2140 per week

SLP Qualifications

• Active Missouri State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (new grads with Level II experience are welcome)
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings required
• Ability to provide at least one professional reference
• Knowledge of ASHA and Missouri state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a hospital setting
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and document all changes per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with supervisors and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate electronic patient records
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
