Position Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180 - $2,423
• Location: Staten Island, NY 10310 (Staten Island healthcare / New York City access)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, W-2
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to work in New York (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
• Experience in Pediatric PACU, Pediatric OR, Sub-Acute, Surgical Pathology, or Thoracic Surgery preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Current BLS required; PALS preferred where applicable

Key Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered, high-quality care to pediatric patients across multiple specialized units
• Monitor and assess pediatric patient conditions, administer medications, and accurately document nursing care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Assist in pediatric surgical procedures and provide post-anesthesia care in Pediatric PACU/OR
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance
• Maintain unit safety standards, infection control practices, and hospital protocols
