• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (8-hour days)
• On-Call: 7 days every other week
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 — dedicated cardiac nursing
• Unit Beds: 2
• EMR Systems: MEDHOST and MACLAB experience preferred
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,870 – $1,970 (competitive travel RN pay)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Texas or compact state accepted
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN or interventional cardiology experience
• Ability to participate in scheduled on-call rotation for the cardiac cath lab
• Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (travel nursing eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive cardiac procedures and interventional cardiology cases in the Cath Lab
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process before, during, and after cardiac procedures
• Monitor patients and respond to hemodynamic changes during procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, RCIS techs, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document clinical care and procedural details in MEDHOST and MACLAB EMR systems
• Participate in the on-call rotation to support emergent Cath Lab cases as scheduled
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the cardiac care team and Cath Lab operations
