• Position: Travel Surgical Tech / Surgical Assistant (SFA / RNFA / PA)
• Location: Willoughby, OH 44094 (Greater Cleveland / Northeast Ohio)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract – 13 weeks
• Setting: Acute-care hospital, Main Operating Room (Level 3 Trauma Center)
• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• End Date: July 12, 2026
• Shift: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour days); 40 hours/week
• Call Requirements: 1 weekday/week + 1–2 weekend days/month (call rotation)
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,690 – $1,820
• Number of Openings: 1

Required Qualifications (Surgical Assistant / Travel Surgical Tech)

• Active certification as a Surgical Assistant (SA), Surgical First Assistant (SFA), RNFA, or Physician Assistant (PA). CST-only candidates are not accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute-care hospital Operating Room supporting surgical procedures
• Experience with multiple surgical specialties preferred: general, robotic, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, bariatric, trauma, hybrid cases
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, intraoperative instrumentation, and perioperative workflow
• Ability to participate in required call rotation and respond promptly when on call
• Successful completion of facility onboarding and compliance requirements (health screenings, background check, skills validation)

Primary Responsibilities (Surgical Tech / Surgical Assistant)

• Provide intraoperative surgical assisting and technical support in a busy Level 3 Trauma Center OR
• Prepare, set up, and maintain the sterile field; manage instrumentation and supplies for a varied case mix
• Perform surgical assisting duties as delegated by the surgeon—retraction, exposure, hemostasis assistance, and procedural support
• Assist with robotic and minimally invasive setups as needed and support specialty teams (trauma, vascular, ortho, thoracic)
• Collaborate with surgeons, circulating nurses, anesthesia, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care
• Participate in call rotation and respond promptly when on call; promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
