• End Date: 06/12/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Options: Days (07:00–19:30) and Nights (19:00–07:30); shifts may be variable based on operational need
• Orientation: 16 hours; includes ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessment
• Holidays: Must work at least every other holiday

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 18 months of permanent RN experience in the specialty prior to travel
• Recent Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown/PCU experience (travel experience acceptable)
• Licensure: Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Certifications (required): AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (active; nothing pending)
• Preferred: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry / Cardiac Stepdown experience
• Reference: One reference from a manager/ANM/supervisor/director in the specialty
• Other: Must achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety testing during orientation

Responsibilities (Cardiac Stepdown RN)

• Provide bedside nursing care to patients in a Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care (PCU) unit
• Perform focused assessments, interpret telemetry/ECG rhythms, and promptly escalate changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and monitor for therapeutic response and adverse effects in accordance with orders and unit protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate plans of care, patient education, and discharge readiness
• Document accurately and timely in accordance with unit standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
• Support a culture of safety, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement
