• Compliance Timeline: Minimum requirements prior to start; full compliance profile completed within 2 weeks after start

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

• Active, unrestricted California RN license
• Minimum 1 year recent acute care hospital RN experience (Med/Surg and/or Telemetry preferred)
• BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• ACLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• Strong telemetry skills: rhythm recognition, interpretation, and timely escalation of clinical changes
• Ability to float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units within demonstrated competency
• EMR experience preferred (Meditech preferred)
• Ability to meet onboarding and health/compliance requirements (e.g., license verification, required screenings, and immunization documentation/attestation as applicable)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Deliver direct patient care within RN scope, including medication administration, treatments, and ongoing monitoring
• Interpret telemetry monitoring, recognize rhythm changes, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Communicate effectively with providers regarding clinical status, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptom changes
• Document care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support safe throughput
• Delegate appropriately and guide support staff while maintaining unit standards of care
