- Position: Travel Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Lab / Gastroenterology Nurse
- Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046 (Gwinnett County, near Atlanta)
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- End Date: June 20, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (Mon–Fri, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
- Employment Type: Travel, On-site (W2)
- Number of Openings: 1
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1520 - $1600 (W2)
- Priority: Urgent — immediate consideration for qualified travel RNs
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent Endoscopy/GI Lab RN experience (gastroenterology nurse or GI procedural RN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with GI and pulmonary diagnostic and interventional procedures (endoscopy, bronchoscopy, sedation monitoring)
- Comfortable with 24-hour departmental responsibility support as needed
- Must be willing to work on-site; no local candidates within 50 miles (travel nursing requirement)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing GI and pulmonary procedures (endoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy)
- Monitor patient status and sedation effects during procedures, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Perform pre-procedure assessments, obtain and review medical history, and provide patient education and informed consent support
- Manage post-procedure recovery and discharge instructions, including vital sign monitoring and patient teaching
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated patient care
- Participate in unit-based quality, safety initiatives, and infection control practices for the GI Lab
