• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – CVICU / Cardiac ICU
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (travel nursing job)
• Location: Florence, SC 29505 (Pee Dee region; South Carolina travel nursing)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 15, 2026
• Contract Length: 11 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1770
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (276 staffed beds)
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) / Cardiac ICU
• Shift: Nights – 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with holiday rotation
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, to like units as needed
• Charting System: Epic (Epic experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free on-site

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or ICU RN experience required (2 years preferred)
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand prior to start
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cardiac and neuro critical care experience required (cardiac ICU / neuro ICU)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must live > 60 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU, including post-open heart and neuro-surgical care
• Monitor and manage complex hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, and advanced ICU therapies
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips per protocol and respond rapidly to patient condition changes
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment: ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, cardiac output monitors, temporary pacers, Swan-Ganz catheters
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and phlebotomy
• Float to similar critical care units as needed while maintaining safe, effective patient care
• Document accurately in Epic and adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations as required
