- Role: Travel ICU RN / Neuro Critical Care Nurse (Registered Nurse)
- Unit: Neuro Critical Care / Neurosurgical & Neurological ICU (30-bed unit)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 9, 2026 – June 8, 2026)
- Shift: Days (07:00–19:30), 12-hour shifts
- Shifts per week: 3; Hours per week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: May float to other inpatient areas when home unit is low census
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,800–$1,890 (Travel Nurse / ICU travel nurse pay)
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs (hoodies not permitted)
- EMR: Epic (Epic documentation skills preferred)
Job Requirements – Neuro ICU Nurse / Registered Nurse
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience; Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred (neurocritical care experience)
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license per state requirements — Indiana license or RN compact privileges where applicable
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
- Core clinical skills: Comprehensive and frequent neurologic assessments, care of mechanically ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients, titration of vasoactive drips
- Preferred skills: Pupillometer use, EVD management, ICP waveform recognition, CRRT experience, Epic documentation
Responsibilities – Travel ICU RN / Neuro Critical Care RN
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care nursing for neuro and neurosurgical ICU patients as a Travel Nurse or permanent ICU RN
- Perform frequent neurological assessments and promptly escalate changes to the provider team per unit protocol
- Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy to meet airway and oxygenation goals
- Care for hemodynamically unstable patients, titrate vasoactive drips, and monitor patient response per unit guidelines
- Support specialized neuro-critical interventions such as EVD/ICP monitoring and targeted temperature management based on competency
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure clear interdisciplinary communication and continuity of care
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible, and empathetic approach while working as a team player in a high-acuity ICU environment
