• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
• On-Call: None
• Weekends/Holidays: Weekend needs TBD; holiday coverage if required
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current Interventional Radiology (IR) RN experience (required)
• Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology experience (required) — Cath Lab RN experience preferred
• Defibrillation certification (required)
• Strong IV skills and peripheral/central line competency (required)
• CCU experience (required)
• Meditech Expanse experience (highly preferred) — EMR / documentation experience
• Active Massachusetts RN license (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced interventional environment
• Attendance at all mandatory education is required
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for this assignment
• Local travelers (within 50 miles of facility) are not eligible
• All requested time off (up to 5 days) must be included at submission; requests after submission will not be approved
• At least two specific interview date/time options must be provided with your application ("anytime" will not be accepted)
• Work history, skills checklist (Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab, current to 1 year), and one supervisory signed reference (from the past two years) required at submission

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients, including focused assessments, continuous monitoring, and sedation/recovery support
• Assist with image-guided, minimally invasive procedures such as angiograms, peripheral revascularization, and carotid stenting
• Perform and support placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters, nephrostomy drainage tubes, gastrostomy/jejunostomy tubes, central lines, and vascular access/port placement
• Support pain management interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and provide pre/post care for renal, liver, and lung biopsies
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency response as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR (Meditech Expanse preferred) and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Adhere to department policies, radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
