Job Requirements (IR RN / Procedural RN)

• RN Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Registered Nurse (cardiovascular, cath lab, IR, PACU, ED, or procedural background preferred)
• Charge RN Experience: Required
• License: Active New Jersey RN license (NJ nursing license)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA preferred if applicable)
• Education: Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program
• EMR: Epic experience required
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Local Candidate Policy: Candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Responsibilities (Interventional Radiology Nursing)

• Provide safe, high-quality pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for Interventional Radiology and special procedures.
• Circulate and assist with image-guided procedures including biopsies, paracentesis/thoracentesis, embolizations, angiography/angioplasty, stent placement, and central venous access/port placement.
• Support procedural sedation administration and monitoring, including end-tidal CO2 monitoring and use of reversal agents as indicated.
• Perform hemodynamic and rhythm monitoring; recognize and manage dysrhythmias and respond with appropriate emergency interventions.
• Assist with vascular access management and hemostasis, including sheath removal/monitoring and vascular closure systems (e.g., Perclose, StarClose).
• Coordinate patient flow and care with interdisciplinary partners (IV teams, radiology, transportation, and unit support staff).
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately in Epic.
• Maintain infection prevention standards, isolation precautions, and PPE compliance.
