Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43201 (Travel Nursing Job, Columbus OH)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – LTAC nurse role
• Shift: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 – $1,800 (competitive travel RN pay)

LTAC Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license meeting Ohio state requirements (Ohio nursing license)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY)
• Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience highly desired
• Strong assessment, care planning, clinical documentation, and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to patient and employee safety, infection prevention, and adherence to unit policies

LTAC RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans (nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate)
• Provide direct patient care for medically complex LTAC patients
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner (electronic charting experience preferred)
• Recognize and communicate changes in patient status promptly to ensure continuity of care and patient safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and provide patient updates for ongoing care planning
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education beginning at admission
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees
• Promote a safe environment through safe patient handling, infection prevention, and fall-risk reduction practices
• Support unit operations by communicating supply and equipment needs and delivering cost-conscious, quality-focused care
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed following orientation
