Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Boise, ID 83712 (On-site)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Registered Nurse / Travel RN)

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Shift: 12H Evenings (11:00a–11:00p)
- Shift Duration: 12 Hour Days
- Scheduling: Variable days off; scheduled to department needs (no block scheduling)
- Call: Minimum 4 hours/week; may include weeknight, weekend, and holiday call as needed; 30-minute response time
- Unit: Operating Room (OR) – 17 suites
- Charting: Epic
- Scrubs: Facility-provided (grey)
- Orientation: Approximately 1 week (general + unit)
- Floating: Rare; may float to nearby surgery centers/OR locations (and to CVOR/robotic thoracic if experienced and needed)
Operating Room RN (OR RN) Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience (broad circulating experience preferred)
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for submission)
- Certifications: BLS (required)
- Clinical Skills: Comfortable circulating across multiple service lines in a fast-paced acute care OR; strong perioperative patient safety focus
- Preferred: 1–2 prior travel assignments
Key Responsibilities (Perioperative / Circulating RN)
- Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care as an OR Circulator for adult and pediatric patients
- Support a broad case mix including General, DaVinci/robotics, Neuro (spines/cranis), Pediatric trauma and scoliosis, Ortho (total joints/trauma), Urology (complex/robotic, kidney/prostate, cystos), Oncology, ENT, GYN (including complex C-sections such as accreta), and Bariatrics
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, OR techs, and the interdisciplinary team to maintain patient safety and smooth case flow
- Maintain sterile technique and follow perioperative safety standards (time-outs, counts, infection prevention, policy compliance)
- Document accurately and timely in Epic
- Participate in assigned call coverage and respond within required timeframes
