Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Ability to provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in an ICU/critical care environment
• Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to respond to changing patient needs
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to patients in an ICU environment
• Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret patient data, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians and ancillary teams to coordinate patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner (per facility standards)
• Educate and support patients and families with clear communication and compassionate care
• Maintain patient safety standards, infection prevention practices, and unit best practices
