• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel RN / Travel Operating Room Nurse
• Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Boston travel nursing, Massachusetts nursing jobs)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract – Travel RN opportunity
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 9, 2026 – June 6, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2190 - $2310
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: Day/Night rotation (Days start at 7:00 AM, Nights at 7:00 PM)
• Weekends/Holidays: Every 3rd weekend as needed; every other holiday
• Call: 1 call shift per schedule period
• Floating: May float to Moakley OR as needed
• Openings: 3 positions available

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient Operating Room RN experience (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
• Clinical Strength: Competency in at least 5 surgical service lines; strong perioperative nursing and circulating/scrub skills
• Preferred: Scrub experience; additional strength in neuro and vascular cases
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Skills: Positive attitude, flexibility, excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking in fast-paced OR settings

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care as an Operating Room RN / perioperative nurse in a busy 24/7 OR
• Circulate and/or scrub (as qualified) across multiple specialties, maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety
• Support surgical services including general, gynecology, genitourinary, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to anticipate needs, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure efficient room turnover
• Document perioperative care accurately and communicate patient status and intraoperative events clearly to the care team
• Participate in on-call coverage per schedule period and float to another OR area (e.g., Moakley OR) when needed
