Job Details (Travel Nursing Contract)
- Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel
- Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts travel nursing job)
- Start Date: 03/23/2026
- End Date: 06/20/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours/week; 12-hour shifts; weekends/holidays: every 3rd weekend and every other holiday
- Shift: 12 Hour Days
- Weekends/Holidays: Every 3rd weekend; every other holiday
- On-Call: One call shift per schedule
- Float: May float to an affiliated operating room as needed
- Openings: 3
Job Requirements (OR RN Qualifications)
- Experience: 2+ years of inpatient Operating Room RN experience (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
- Perioperative Skills: Competency in at least 5 surgical service lines (see Responsibilities); scrub experience preferred
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Core Competencies: Sterile technique, patient safety, teamwork, adaptability, and excellent communication
Responsibilities (Perioperative Nursing)
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, 24/7 operating room
- Circulate and/or scrub (as qualified) across multiple specialties while supporting safe patient flow and sterile technique
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality surgical care and efficient case turnover
- Support a broad surgical services portfolio including (but not limited to): general surgery, GYN, GU/urology, oral surgery, ENT, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
- Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and uphold policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
