  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,340–$2,510 per week

Job Details

  • Location: Lima, OH 45801 (Allen County, northwest Ohio)
  • Position: Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist / IR Tech (ARRT required)
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours
  • Shift: Four 9-hour day shifts per week (Monday–Friday as assigned); rotating daily shift windows: 7:00am–4:30pm, 7:30am–5:00pm, or 8:00am–5:30pm
  • Schedule Note: May require extended coverage during busy procedure days (facility may ask to remain beyond scheduled shift)
  • Call Requirement: 1 day per week plus every 4th weekend (weeknight call 5:30pm–7:00am; weekend call 7:00am–7:00pm); must remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on call
  • Unit Details: 2 procedure labs, averaging 12–15 cases per day; high-acuity interventional and neuro-interventional caseload

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (2–3 years preferred). Prior travel technologist experience preferred.
  • Highly Preferred: Neuro IR experience including cerebral angiograms, thrombectomy, coiling, and carotid stenting
  • Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): AHA BLS required prior to direct patient care
  • Preferred Certifications: ACLS (AHA), ARRT (CV) and/or ARRT (VI)
  • Education: Associate’s degree from an ARRT?accredited institute preferred
  • Systems: EPIC EHR and PACS proficiency preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic, interventional, and neuro?interventional procedures using sterile technique
  • Prepare procedure rooms, verify procedural requirements, and maintain accurate documentation pre-, intra-, and post?procedure
  • Obtain and verify patient clinical history and relevant labs; communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Administer contrast via power injector as ordered; assess contrast reaction risk and assist with initial treatment per protocol
  • Operate imaging systems and associated equipment to achieve optimal image quality while adhering to radiation safety and ALARA principles
  • Support a broad IR case mix: biopsies, thrombectomies, embolizations, tunneled dialysis catheters, ports, drains, nephrostomy tubes, tunneled PICCs, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty/sacroplasty, lumbar punctures, epidurals, PEG placements
  • Perform and support neuro?interventional procedures such as cerebral angiograms, thrombectomy, coiling, and carotid stenting
  • Use PACS and facility systems proficiently; follow downtime and IT escalation procedures as needed
  • Maintain supply inventory, communicate needs to appropriate personnel, and assist with precepting or monitoring students and new staff
  • Remain flexible to stay beyond scheduled shift when procedure rooms remain active at end of day
