- Start Date: March 9, 2026
- End Date: June 7, 2026
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,910 – $2,010 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Work Environment: On-site, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) — critical care setting
- Floating Requirement: Yes, may float to other patient care areas
Required Qualifications
- Experience: ICU nursing experience preferred (ICU RN / Critical Care RN)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- License: Current New Mexico RN license OR active Compact state RN license
- Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; ACLS (AHA) required; TNCC required
- Clinical Skills: Proficient in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, continuous IV drips, vasoactive medications, and age-appropriate critical care
- Communication: Clear communication with interdisciplinary teams and sensitivity to patient rights and family-centered care
- Physical & Professional: Ability to handle emergencies/crisis situations, prolonged standing/walking, physical effort, and maintain professional clinical practice
- Flexibility: Willingness to float to other units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for ICU patients in accordance with unit and hospital standards
- Perform ongoing assessments, recognize clinical changes, and intervene appropriately
- Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and complex critical care equipment
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and follow evidence-based critical care protocols
- Document patient care accurately and maintain patient privacy (HIPAA compliant)
- Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in rapid response or code situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Support a respectful, patient-centered environment for patients and families
