Job Details — Travel PT / Outpatient Physical Therapy
- Location: Nantucket, MA 02554 (Nantucket, Massachusetts)
- Setting: Outpatient Physical Therapy — Sports Medicine / Orthopedics
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Physical Therapist (Travel PT)
- Start Date: April 13, 2026
- End Date: August 29, 2026
- Duration: 20 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (typical start between 8:00–8:30 AM)
- Shared Housing: Provided at no cost — ideal for travel PTs
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920–$2,060/week
Required Qualifications — Physical Therapist (PT)
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) license (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in outpatient, sports medicine, or orthopedic physical therapy
- Strong clinical documentation, EMR, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehab team (physicians, athletic trainers, PTAs)
- Completion of onboarding health and background requirements (immunizations, background checks, skills checklists)
Key Responsibilities — Outpatient / Sports Medicine PT
- Evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal, sports-related, and orthopedic conditions in an outpatient clinic
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, functional independence, and return-to-sport outcomes
- Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and progressive rehab programs
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, athletic trainers, and other rehabilitation staff to coordinate continuum of care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital, payer, and regulatory standards
- Promote a positive clinic culture and contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
