• Position: PRN NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
• Location: Plainsboro Township, NJ 08536 (Central New Jersey / Princeton-area)
• Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Job Type: PRN / Per Diem (must work at least 1 shift every 3 months to remain active)
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 1 (Hours Per Week: 12)
• Start Date: March 31, 2026
• Contract Duration: 52 weeks
• Estimated Hourly Pay Rate: $79.05/hour
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $648 - $720

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent NICU RN experience required (neonatal intensive care experience preferred)
• License: Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Certifications: BLS and NRP (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Float Requirement: Willingness to float to the Nursery or any unit of similar scope
• PRN Availability: Must work at least one shift every 3 months to maintain active status

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based neonatal intensive care to critically ill and high-risk neonates in the NICU
• Perform comprehensive assessments, continuous monitoring, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and unit protocols
• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized plans of care
• Educate and support families using compassionate communication and family-centered, developmental care principles
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to quality, patient safety, and infection-prevention standards
• Float as needed to the Nursery or similar-scope units while maintaining high standards of neonatal nursing care
