Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

• RN Experience: 3+ years of recent Registered Nurse experience (required)
• Specialty: Strong proficiency in Med-Tele / Med/Surg Telemetry and cardiac telemetry (required)
• EMR: Epic experience (required)
• State License: New York (per assignment requirements)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) (required)
• Telemetry Skills: Ability to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms at least 2x per shift (required)
• Mobility: Must have your own vehicle (required)
• Preferred: Prior travel RN / travel nursing experience
• Preferred: Neuro, stroke, or telemetry/neuro unit experience
• Compliance: Ability to complete onboarding training and screening requirements within requested timelines

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Provide continuous telemetry monitoring; accurately interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms per unit expectations.
• Perform focused assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly using appropriate clinical pathways.
• Administer medications and treatments, evaluate patient response, and document care in Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate plans of care, patient education, and discharge readiness.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and clear communication to support a patient-centered environment throughout the travel assignment.
