Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
- RN Experience: 3+ years of recent Registered Nurse experience (required)
- Specialty: Strong proficiency in Med-Tele / Med/Surg Telemetry and cardiac telemetry (required)
- EMR: Epic experience (required)
- State License: New York (per assignment requirements)
- Certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) (required)
- Telemetry Skills: Ability to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms at least 2x per shift (required)
- Mobility: Must have your own vehicle (required)
- Preferred: Prior travel RN / travel nursing experience
- Preferred: Neuro, stroke, or telemetry/neuro unit experience
- Compliance: Ability to complete onboarding training and screening requirements within requested timelines
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Provide continuous telemetry monitoring; accurately interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms per unit expectations.
- Perform focused assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly using appropriate clinical pathways.
- Administer medications and treatments, evaluate patient response, and document care in Epic.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate plans of care, patient education, and discharge readiness.
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and clear communication to support a patient-centered environment throughout the travel assignment.
