- Duration: 13 weeks (travel contract)

- On-Call: Not required (may be encouraged)
Required Qualifications – Interventional Radiology Technologist / Rad Tech
- Experience: Minimum 1 year as an Interventional Radiology Technologist required (travel experience required)
- Licensure: Active Connecticut (CT) Radiologic Technologist license required by start date (pending license accepted if active prior to start)
- Certifications: ARRT (R) required; BLS (AHA preferred)
- References: 1 professional reference required
- Travel Policy: Return staff must be gone 2 years to return as a traveler; local candidates not accepted (must be >75 miles from site)
- Health Requirements: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved; >7 days requires approval
- Preferred: Trauma Level I experience and prior IR suite experience
Key Responsibilities – Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist
- Support interventional radiology procedures including thrombectomy, TIPS, venous access, embolization (TACE/Y-90), ablations, uterine fibroid embolization, and prostate artery embolization
- Prepare procedure rooms, imaging equipment, and supplies; ensure readiness for IR cases and turnover between cases
- Scrub and/or circulate while maintaining sterile field, isolation precautions, and PPE standards
- Operate and assist with imaging and procedural equipment: fluoroscopy, ultrasound, cone beam CT, IVUS, ablation units, excimer laser
- Assist with patient preparation, vascular access-site prep, safe patient positioning, and transport coordination
- Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with radiologists, nursing, anesthesia, and support services
- Contribute to a safety-first culture, including participation with rapid response/code teams as needed
- Maintain equipment and stock supplies to support daily operations in the IR suite
