We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a state-of-the-art facility. • Location: Belmont, NC 28012 (near Charlotte, Mecklenburg County)
• Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – cardiac surgery and advanced cardiac care
• Assignment Type: Travel
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 21, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,910 - $2,010 per week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license. North Carolina licensure or compact license preferred for travel nurses.
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Experience with post-op cardiac patients, ventilator support, and advanced cardiac monitoring is a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality cardiovascular critical care nursing to adult patients in the CVICU
• Continuously monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using advanced cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, manage IVs, and operate advanced life support and monitoring equipment
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code and rapid response situations as needed
• Provide patient and family education related to procedures, post-operative care, and ongoing cardiovascular care
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff
