- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Role: Registered Dietitian / Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD / RDN) – Travel Dietitian, Pediatric LTAC
- Setting: Pediatric Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Facility / Food and Nutrition Services
- Unit: Food and Nutrition Services — clinical dietitian role
- Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 – 16:30)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- On-Site Position: Richmond, VA (zip code 23220)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,580 – $1,700
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian with pediatric experience, including enteral nutrition and enteral feeding management
- Current RD/RDN certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic EHR) required
- Active Virginia license or compact state license at time of submission
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field preferred
- Ability to provide 2 professional references
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to float to other units within scope as needed
- Compliance with facility policies, including natural nail policy and background screening
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans for pediatric LTAC patients
- Manage and monitor enteral nutrition, enteral feeding regimens, and nutrition-related orders in collaboration with clinical teams
- Implement, evaluate, and adjust nutrition interventions to optimize patient outcomes
- Document assessments, plans, and progress accurately in Epic charting system
- Provide patient- and family-centered education on nutrition, enteral feeding, and care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and speech therapists
- Participate in orientation modules, ongoing professional development, and quality improvement initiatives
- Float to other units within scope as needed to support departmental needs
