Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (through 06/15/2026) with potential to extend
• Schedule: Rotating between 4x12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:00) and 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week (based on unit need)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:2
• Charting System: Epic

ICU RN (CCU) Job Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of recent ICU/CCU experience (cardiac medicine ICU strongly preferred)
• License: Active RN license (VA license may be pending at submission; must be active prior to start)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Clinical Skills: Hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz/pulmonary artery catheters, CVP), arterial lines, vasoactive drips, advanced heart failure care, dysrhythmia recognition, and 12-lead ECG interpretation
• Preferred: BSN

Key Responsibilities (Critical Care / Cardiac ICU)

• Provide expert bedside critical care nursing for acutely ill cardiac patients, including post-procedure care
• Manage and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips as ordered
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring (e.g., CVP, Swan-Ganz) and interpret dysrhythmias and 12-lead ECGs
• Support patients requiring ventilatory support and interpret ABGs as needed
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care, communicate changes in patient condition promptly, and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Float within scope of practice per facility policy to support patient care needs
