Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Medical-Surgical RN / Telemetry RN
• Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201 (Berkshires) — Massachusetts travel nursing job
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (13 weeks)
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250–$2,370 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Shift Options: 8- or 12-hour shifts (3:00pm–11:30pm, 11:00pm–7:30am, or 7:00pm–7:30am)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• On-Call: None
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Orientation: Includes an 8-hour non-billable orientation as part of the assignment

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Medical-Surgical RN experience (required) — experienced travel RN preferred
• Telemetry experience required (Telemetry RN skills)
• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course (strongly required)
• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR (highly preferred)
• Active Massachusetts RN license required (must be uploaded with profile)
• Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency (Nursing Pool) license required for submission
• Required certifications active at submission: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Work history and skills checklist (Medical-Surgical, current to 1 year) required
• One supervisory signed reference from the past two years required
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility and must have own vehicle for the assignment
• All requested time off must be included at submission (no more than 5 days); block scheduling not available

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered bedside care to Medical-Surgical patients as a Med/Surg RN
• Perform focused assessments and update individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document accurately in the EMR (Meditech Expanse preferred)
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies
• Float to appropriate units as needed while ensuring continuity and quality of care
• Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development for travel nursing success
