Job Details – Emergency Nurse / Travel Nurse
- Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) / Acute Care RN
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (W2)
- Location: Geneva, NY 14456 — Seneca Lake / Finger Lakes, upstate New York
- Start Date: March 30, 2026
- End Date: July 4, 2026
- Duration: 14 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating day or night shifts; every other weekend and holiday rotation; 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse (RN) license — required for New York nursing jobs and travel nurse roles
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital RN experience; at least 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and emergency nursing skills
- Ability to prioritize and deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Emergency Department Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients and families across all ages — typical duties for an emergency nurse / ED RN
- Perform rapid triage, prioritize care, and initiate timely, evidence-based interventions
- Conduct primary and secondary assessments, identify urgent/emergent needs, and document findings accurately in the EHR
- Administer medications, assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, and monitor patient responses
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, techs, and ancillary services
- Provide patient and family education on discharge instructions, follow-up care, and post-emergency management
- Promote a healing environment by addressing pain, anxiety, and safety; maintain infection prevention and patient safety protocols
