Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Nights in Memphis, TN: 13-week travel nursing assignment at a Level I Trauma Center. Join our team as an experienced Travel Med/Surg RN delivering high-quality adult and geriatric care.

- Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Memphis healthcare jobs / Tennessee nursing jobs)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800–$1890
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: July 6, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment)
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 available; indicate preference)
- Unit: 5 North M/S (Medical/Surgical)
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Patient Ratios: 1:6–7 (team nursing model with support staff)
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a large hospital; 3+ years preferred
- Travel Experience: At least 1 completed travel assignment required (travel nursing jobs)
- Trauma: Level I Trauma Center experience required
- License: Active RN license in Tennessee or compact (NLC) state
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
- Clinical Skills: Med/Surg, Telemetry, IV start proficiency; rhythm strip interpretation and drip management
- EMR: Epic experience preferred
- Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Distance Requirement: Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (strict radius rule)
- First-time Travelers: Accepted only with 3+ years recent specialty experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Manage cardiac Med/Surg diagnoses including CHF, AMI, post-cath lab care, pacemaker placements, and ablations
- Monitor and interpret rhythm strips, manage drips at set rates, and titrate heparin per protocol
- Collaborate within a team nursing model with PCCs, RNs, and interdisciplinary partners (PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response)
- Float between like units as needed to support patient care and staffing needs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR (Epic preferred)
- Participate in weekend and on-call coverage as needed
