Travel ER RN Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room RN (ER Registered Nurse)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Start Date: 03/23/2026 (start date required; orientation occurs every other Monday)
- End Date: 06/20/2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 48 hours/week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Weekly Estimated Pay Range: $1910–$2010 per week
Emergency Room Nurse (RN) Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of recent Emergency Department (ED) / ER RN experience in a similar-size ED
- Trauma Experience: Prior Trauma Level 2 experience required
- Travel Experience: Prior travel RN experience required
- License: Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at time of submission)
- Certifications (required): BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
- Trauma Certification (facility accepted/required as applicable): ATCN/TNCC/ATLC
- Preferred: Cerner EMR experience
- Time Off: All requested time off must be submitted with the application packet
- Eligibility: Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted
Key Responsibilities – Travel ER RN (Nights)
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to Emergency Department patients in accordance with facility policies and RN scope of practice
- Complete focused assessments, reassessments, and ongoing monitoring; communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and document care accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support timely patient care and throughput
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and coordination of follow-up needs as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with unit standards, safety practices, and required documentation
