- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 4, 2026 – June 3, 2026)
- Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) – Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry
- Employment Type: Travel Contract – Travel Nursing Job
- Shifts: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a); weekends as scheduled
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 – $2130 (competitive travel nurse pay)

- Unit Size: 30 beds (14 private, 16 semi-private)
- Charting System: Sunrise (Allscripts)
- Scrub Color: Navy blue top & bottom, navy scrub jackets (no hoodies)
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; willing to wait for state license if needed (travel nurse licensure supported)
- No prior acute care experience required—new graduate and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS
- Strong telemetry skills: independent interpretation of telemetry strips and arrhythmia recognition (Telemetry RN)
- Competency in titrating common cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitro, Heparin; Lasix occasionally)
- Comfortable floating to Telemetry or Med/Surg units as needed (flexible travel nurse assignment)
- All submissions must include a copy of an unexpired driver’s license; disclose any licensing issues at submission
- Adherence to strict attendance policy (maximum 2 occurrences per contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based cardiac and telemetry nursing care to intermediate-acuity patients (chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, post-pacer, pre/post caths, Tikosyn therapy)
- Perform focused cardiac assessments, monitor trends, and escalate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
- Interpret and accurately document telemetry rhythms and communicate findings to physicians and care teams
- Titrate and monitor cardiac infusions per protocol and evaluate patient response
- Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, residents, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and IV team to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Support a positive team environment, uphold professionalism, and participate in unit orientation and ongoing education
- Float to Telemetry, Med/Surg, or Pandemic Unit as needed (typical ratios up to 1:6; rarely 1:7 in Med/Surg)
