• Setting: Hospital – Interventional Laboratories (IR Lab)
• Unit: Interventional Radiology Tech (2060 - CDH Interventional Laboratories)
• Contract Type: Travel, 12 weeks
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 22, 2026
• Shift: Day, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30) — 40 hours/week
• On-Call: Yes (rotates with current staff)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Charting System: Epic (Epic experience required)
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Key Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required — ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist preferred
• Minimum 1 year of direct experience as a Radiologic Technologist; Interventional Radiology (IR) or Cath Lab experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences
• Illinois IEMA licensure (must be obtained prior to start) — Illinois radiology licensure required for travel assignments
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Epic charting system experience required
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only) and flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience, Bachelor of Science degree, prior experience in interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP labs, previous charge experience

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, stent placements, embolizations, and more — typical IR tech duties
• Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment such as Siemens C-Arm (single and bi-plane) and GE ultrasound
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment, ensuring supplies are ready for scheduled and emergent cases
• Scrub and circulate during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique and anticipating procedural needs
• Assist with vascular access, hemodynamic monitoring, contrast administration, and EKG lead placement
• Document all procedures and patient care accurately in Epic — accurate charting for radiology technologists
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and transport staff
• Adhere to infection prevention, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
• Participate in on-call and weekend rotations to support continuous patient care
