Travel ICU RN – 13-week night shift in Greenville, NC (27834). Seeking experienced critical care nurses with ACLS and BLS for Level 1 Trauma ICU travel nursing jobs.
Assignment Overview
- Role: ICU Registered Nurse / Travel Nurse (Critical Care)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
- Setting: Level 1 Trauma ICU; float to intermediate and general inpatient units as needed
- Location: Greenville, NC (27834) with rotations at ECU Medical Center, Beaufort, and Edgecombe (within ~40 minutes)

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN or critical care nursing experience (required)
- Active RN license (Compact licenses accepted) — valid for practice in North Carolina
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to float between multiple facilities and adapt to varying inpatient unit acuity
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a Level 1 Trauma ICU
- Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication infusions consistent with ICU protocols
- Float to intermediate and general inpatient units as needed and deliver safe care across acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond effectively to emergencies, code situations, and rapid changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate patient records, communicate shift handoffs, and follow facility documentation standards
