• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460–$1,540

ER RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of recent Emergency Room (ER) / Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse experience
• License: Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Certifications (required): BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS, and PALS or ENPC
• Preferred: CEN certification; prior Meditech EMR experience
• Core Skills: Rapid triage and prioritization, strong communication, teamwork, adaptability in a high-acuity environment

Key Responsibilities (Emergency Department Nursing)

• Provide rapid assessment, triage, prioritization, and evidence-based nursing interventions for ED patients across a wide range of acuity
• Deliver time-sensitive emergency care for sepsis, stroke (including tPA workflows), chest pain, and heart alert presentations
• Assist with and/or participate in ED procedures such as conscious sedation and intubations as appropriate to scope and unit practice
• Monitor and support behavioral health patients, ensuring safety, de-escalation, and therapeutic communication
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostics, treatment plans, and safe dispositions
• Document accurately and efficiently in Meditech while maintaining compliance with unit policies, standards, and patient safety requirements
• Float to other areas as needed

• Dress Code: Navy scrubs for RNs (undershirts/jackets in white, navy, or black only). Professional appearance standards apply (e.g., no acrylic nails; hair off shoulders; visible non-ear piercings prohibited; tattoos should be covered when possible).
