ICU RN Job Details

• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 29, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts per week (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
• Orientation: 32-40 hours (paid at 50% of base hourly rate)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state nursing license
• Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
• Reference from ICU manager, ANM, supervisor, or director
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate during orientation (2 attempts maximum)
• BCI/FBI fingerprints completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start is required for non-nursing travelers only. ICU RN travelers are exempt from this requirement.

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate critical care equipment
• Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per hospital policies
• Participate in ongoing training and clinical assessments
